Decoding the L.A. Restaurant Scene: 20 Years Past and Future

Recently the national gourmet focus has shifted from New York to Los Angeles as more and more food lovers discover the city’s freewheeling chefs and bold international flavors. Long before that, Joshua Lurie was already exploring our local restaurants on a daily basis on his website https://FoodGPS.com, which he founded in 2005.

Lurie has also contributed to publications such as The New York Times, The Los Angeles TimesThe Hollywood Reporter, Eater LA and dineL.A. On top of that and many radio appearances, he produced and hosted a pig-fueled video series for Talk Media Networks called “Pork L.A.” … and co-wrote a blockbuster Bollywood action movie, Blue.

Lurie understands L.A.’s edible evolution like few others, and in this talk he will make sense of the past 20 years and provide educated guesses about what the next 20 years might look like for L.A. diners.
