Famous Eateries of Hollywood’s Golden Age

Join us at the Mark Taper Auditorium of the Central Library in DTLA for “Famous Eateries of Hollywood’s Golden Age” with George Geary!

The topic of Hollywood culinary history never goes out of style in Southern California. Favorite dishes of the day’s star-studded restaurants continue to be a popular topic and we’re all ears for the “in crowd’s” food gossip of bygone eras. Hollywood history, stars, recipes, and restaurant design are examined as George Geary leads us through his latest book, L.A.’s Legendary Restaurants: Celebrating the Famous Places Where Hollywood Ate, Drank, and Played.

About the speaker:
George Geary is an award winning author and culinary tour guide. He can be seen weekly on San Diego Living on the CW Network where he shares recipes and stories. Geary travels the world teaching aboard Holland America Line. He also works in casting on food “reality” shows. This is his tenth cookbook.

Free and open to the public. A reception with themed refreshments will follow the talk.
