Julia Child: A Well-Thumbed Checklist of Books and Ephemera

Join us for “Julia Child: A Well-Thumbed Checklist of Books and Ephemera” with Liz Pollock on May 14th!

This presentation celebrates the most influential American food writer of the late 20th century, Julia Child. It features works about her as well as works by her, including some rare ephemeral pieces which the speaker has collected over the years. An exceptionally detailed list of Child-related titles, arranged in chronological order, will be handed out at the talk.

About the speaker:
Liz Pollock approaches America’s favorite French chef from the bookseller’s point-of-view. The American publishing industry has long considered cookbooks the most consistent sellers in the non-fiction category, and Child’s writings continue to sell year after year because of their systematic organization and comprehensive scope.

A reception with light refreshments will follow the talk at approximately 11:30am.

Free and open to the public.
